I am not allowed to let Bob possess Mister and run off with him, then go get Molly and ask her to find and retrieve Mister for me....at least not without an old fashioned video recorder that is....

Nah, use an old fashioned film movie camera, he can set up the projector and watch it on lonely Friday nights.

That could also be what he does to catch more modern flicks.  Many films can be rented and shown on old fashioned projectors, especially on a hot night.  Take it outside, put up a clean sheet and watch casablanca one more time.

Lash and I are not allowed to go on 'American Idol' to play guitar, it's just not fair to the other contestants, and it makes the Merlin crazy with paranoid suspicions about me, he starts raving on about evil spirits...

I am not allowed to ask Elaine to tease Carlos by going out with him....she might like it too much.

I am not allowed to send Toot to spy on Murphy's superiors just to get blackmail so Murph can get her command back.  I don't know why I'm not allowed to do that, but I'm not.

Why not?  I don't see a single law that precludes using magic to blackmail somebody.  Control them, kill them yes but blackmail, nope.  They still have their own free will and can of course always blow the whistle.

Harry Dresden cannot take a job to work at a Asleigh Simpson concert to prove if she is still lip synching or not!

He can however work for the Grammy Committe to make sure that all Grammy nominees are (a) human and (b) not using vocal enhancements or tapes.

By the way, many singers have the song playing in their ears as a memory aid.  It is also useful to keep your song on tune/time in a large arena not nescessarily designed for voice performance.  I won't tell you how many actors use a similar method, especially when pulled into a role with only a few days warning.

I am not allowed to let Bob attend Mardi Gras.....the destruction of the city would surely be noticed.
On second thought, I'm not allowed to let Bob go to any other city without supervision; I'm starting to wonder if he was the cause of some of disasters.  (Where was Bob during the San Fransisco Earthquake of 1908?)

I'm not allowed to let Bob run a Sex and the City fan club out of my sub basement. ;D

I shall not make a giant soulfire hand to show the person who just cut me off on the highway how I feel about them.

Nor shall I use it to catch fly balls at baseball games.

I will also never make said soul fire hand and tell a doctor no this is a prostate exam.

If I ever do these things, I will not shout "Talk to the Hand".  It's passe.

I will not, when preparing a spell, insist that Europe's "The Final Countdown" be played, especially not as I hold a knife between my teeth and have scarves blown in my face.

Not even while driving in a convertible and letting it all hang out?

Nope, not even then. Now I've got this picture in my head of Harry in a Mustang with Mouse riding shotgun. 'Head to the side, tongue slappin' around, a little drool...and I'm sure Mouse would have a good time too.

The Amazing G.O.B. strikes again!

I will not reveal the secrets of my illusions, lest I be blackballed from the Magician's Alliance yet again.
(Though if Harry could be compared to any member of the Bluth family it'd have to be Michael.)
