And I never said anything about how he used it, so we're already going off topic here. I addressed why he couldn't.
Yes, although reddit is a poor choice to back a claim. A 'man on fire' is not implied to be a happy person, no?
Losing someone you love, not by loss but by force of circumstances beyond your control. Yes, his happiness was gone, I haven't denied it. I supplied what replaced it see?
Seriously people... go look up double empathy an see if it's just you who's not grasping how the other communicates.. Because I'm reading just fine.
In fact, my ability to read into people is specifically what I bring to the table 👀

If he can no longer capture it, then he doesn't have it... ??? Nor will he have it.. :( So what exactly is the point of saying why he couldn't.. ???

dn't.

How exactly does the ability to capture a beam of sunshine in a hanky turn into a man on fire?  ???  Just because you can catch a couple of drops of rain in a glass that doesn't turn you into a water fall.... ::)

Maybe you think you replaced it, but with the loss of Susan Harry's happiness was kaput!  You see that's what is behind the ability to catch that old sunbeam.. Happiness is seems is a vital component, like trying to do a tracking spell without... Well, you get the point..

to express myself. Which is allowed here. What is the point of this particular comment? To harass? That's specifically not.

I am going to make this really clear. I and the other mods will not tolerate rule breaking and general antisocial behaviour. We don't have the time or patience for it. I am not going to spend all my time warning people. Be kind and courteous to each other, read the rules and precepts and Rules of Don't again. I advise everybody to do that just to be clear on everything. Most people here are very well behaved and I won't have it ruined for them.

your perspective is quite colored. You are not modding here, you are closing ranks and othering those who are not part of your monkey sphere.

something that should indeed be done, i fear in your haste you have overlooked some in favor of those you prefer.

there. There is the reveal of your corrupted intentions. You don't care about the quality of the group, that it deserves to exist or not.
You. Care. About your monkey sphere an are reacting from your monkey mind. Ignoring ongoing harassment that's literally lasted from.before.your.time. to redouble your efforts for your own little monkey sphere.  Which is not the forum! Not the site! Not the messenge!
Your supposed to take pride in the institution as an ideal, to preserve your innocent vision of a broken city.  You are the infestation of an open wound.

Word to the wise, step out of it. Because anyone left standing in your lil sphere might get crushed by the pressure see?

The_Sibelis has been banned.  Obviously they were unhappy with the admins here, and should feel free to find places where they can feel more comfortable.

Overall, friends?  Read the Precepts.  Follow the Precepts.  Be civil.  Have fun.

(and I am sad about other things happening in this thread)

He was abrasive and confrontational, and not nearly as much smarter than the rest of us than he thinks he is (dude, in case you're looping back to read this:
(click to show/hide)
).

But IMHO he also often had interesting insights on the DF.  I think his banning is a loss to the board.
I'd have preferred him to mend his ways, rather than go more and more confrontational.

In the end, the modstaff here are all part-timer's and volunteers, and have limited hours & skills to deal with such issues.  I deeply regret the call they made, but 100% believe they made the best call they could make.  Thank you for the hard work you do, mods!
