dead man's hand
(1/1)
magical_liopleurodon:
I just finished reading Dead Man's Hand by James J. Butcher and really enjoyed it. Can't wait for the next one.

Good to know!

Honestly, I stopped at chapter 12. Not that it was not good, but it just didn't hook me. This need not mean, that other readers won't like it. I'll try to continue in a few weeks.
I did not like the thought (click to show/hide) how this familiar in Mansgraf's lair has been constructed. This threw me, honestly. Poor thing. Unnecessary cruelty. And what's it for, anyway? Protection? I am sure there are other ways.
Comfort? Most certainly not. So why create a familiar in such a cruel way?
Edit: don't answer my question, please. I want to read for myself.
