[PT/BG SPOILERS] Beings from the Outside
« on: October 22, 2020, 11:54:09 AM »

So, we know the Cornerhounds are from the Outside, and come in groups of 13
What about the Huntsmen? They come in groups of 13, like the cornerhounds, and are wicked strong
Any theories, anyone?

I thought the Erlking implied they were mutated from the prisoners the Fomor had been grabbing.

They didn't seem to be bothered in the slightest by residential thresholds. That speaks to enslaved former mortal, not pure supernatural.

13 has been an important magical limit since SF.

The thresholds were apartments, so they didn't have a strong threshold. The Huntsmen seemed stronger than the frog demon from SF, which broke past Harry's threshold.

The threshold is not an absolute thing. Even Harry in ghost story could break a weak threshold. A strong being can get through.

Also you can break through leaving some of your power - but then hey - you can still be enough to kill everyone inside.
