[BG SPOILERS] Why not thaumaturgy
« on: October 13, 2020, 09:02:44 AM »
With all the power on the field (easy count to 13) why was no thaumaturgy attempted?

Not even the power triangle the previous ladies used on Alfred.

They could have blasted Ethniu to space lol

Added bonus of having the Borg pick her up. Jim would love to write a Borg Queen origin story. And Molly would dig it.

They would have needed something of Ethniu's to do thaumaturgy related to her.  The whole battle was to get the blood necessary for Harry to make the thaumaturgic connection with the Demonreach crystal to imprison her.

As for the triangle to pin Alfred, that worked because Alfred was stationary, because he had a place to stand and defend.  Ethniu had no such requirement and could move wherever she pleased.

I think Cristos and Eb may have done some thaumaturgy in the battle. Eb had Harry stall the enemy while he and Cristos executed some spell. Harry in turn had Carlos shield him while he prepared a spell. Something that took that long for Eb and Cristos to pull off probably wasn't an evocation.
