The only answer I can see to that is the "Bigfoot on Campus" one... Thomas getting energy from someone with much more life-force available than the average human.

  While Thomas is in prison, the Hunger cannot feed.  Apparently Thomas isn't completely in stasis if he can communicate on some level.  However that apparently isn't true for the Hunger, now does that mean it can survive stasis?  Or will it starve to death?  If it does, then will a now very human middle aged and very weakened Thomas survive?
