Fool Moon's Macfinn origin? Think I have it
« on: January 21, 2019, 07:20:21 AM »
Just a guess but I think this might be where he came from.  As Chauncy said "His family has a notable history".  My guess is that this is his family origin, and his name changed slightly over the generations.

"Fionn mac Cumhaill (Finn MacCool) was the leader of Irish warriors called Fianna. He was the central character in the Fenian Cycle of Irish mythology."

Stole this from Reginald because it was so well put, and is true for me as well.

"I love this place. It was a beacon in the dark and I couldn't have made it through some of the most maddening years of my life without some great people here."  Thank you Griff and others who took up the torch.

Finn MacCool would be Finn, son of Cool. MacFinn would be son of Finn.
