That is a scary looking robot.

You are right, but the literature (and paintings) shows that we were not really different in our behavior.

I believe individuals humans can change but collectively, we were more or less the same years ago.

Perhaps one day we, as a species, get better but so far, I donīt think so.

Good maen y'all. Long time gone. Been Pokemon-walking for my son after work. Soon to hit level 28. Hoping Butcher's Connecticon this weekend leads to publishing date.

Yes, the story refers to humans, and it doesn't work. People generally change all the time, even if it was in bits and pieces. Some character traits get enhanced, others get reduced, but a 180 change isn't possible except in very rare cases.
I think the story also talks about second chances, and we should grant them or not. I agree and disagree, as if someone consistently proved to be incapable of change shouldn't be allowed a second chance, and some transgressions are too great to be forgiven.
Hard agree. Some people  don't change, and you need to stop giving them the chance to disappoint you.
Is it just me or is it getting a little solipsistic in here?

I always give second chances. Three or fourth? Not always?

Hi Dina. :)
Mostly agreed. There have only been a couple of exceptions.
