Sooner or later, hopefully sooner, The Archive must become a mother.

She's no longer a child. The Archive must be passed from mother to daughter.
WHO is the father (husband?) going to be? Obviously her bodyguard, the Hell Hound is too old and (ICK!) their relationship would preclude such interaction. The same could be said of Harry.
One of the Alphas or one of the Carpenter sons would fit this role nicely (particularly if either pick up one of the swords).
Barring either, Butcher could create a new character who mates and betrays The Archive which complicates Harry's life in horrible ways. Perhaps an Outsider who masquerades as ... who-knows-what. Perhaps a member of the White Court, but The Archive would probably see right through one of their nation.
Just thought I'd throw the subject out for discussion.

I think it has to be somebody who stands on Neutral ground, like she dose, otherwise the Archive might be courrupted and fall into hands it's not meant to be in.

Harry's poor mind gets blown, because he still envisions her as a little girl.

Kincaid wants to hire Harry to figure out who the father is (Ivy refuses to say).  Could be one of those nice little side-plots that keep distracting Harry from the main action, until he figures out they aren't "side plots" at all...

Depending on how grim things get, I could imagine The Archive "ending" before it can be passed on. Though, that's if Jim goes the China Mieville writing Perdido Street Station route of torturing every character you care about.

I honestly can't believe that all the Archives for centuries have always been able to give birth before dying.

Hmmmm, hard to say. If that were the case though, it'd be like a Mantle Passed from one person to the next, like the Winter Knight. Seems to me though it'd have to be someone who's mind can resist brakeing under all that knowledge. At least for a time.
