Considering how often Harry has suggested that the original Merlin must have been a real jerk, it would be hilarious for Harry to find himself in similar situations.

I think it might have been a comment while he was watching the Bob-o-vision film of Demonreach's creation. Though, I could be wrong; my memory ain't what it was.

Harry is a reincarnated Merlin, still "in process" of building Demonreach.   Reincarnation is what allows Merlin to create Demonreach at multiple points of time.  Harry (this version of Merlin) will complete demonreach stage 2 during the final trilogy.

"Same guy," I said. "Doubt he was much like in the movies."

Thanks to Knnn I got back a copy of my old theory notes that need put into an expressible form... so maybe around peace talks i'll have a showcase ready at least. (not going to focus on it in the forseeable future, need to work on my martial arts for awhile)
