Just tossing out a random possibility:  Bob's personality is entirely dictated by who is the current owner fo the skull, but that's not an issue with your rune crown.  So what if, since Sophie is more closely bound to that particular mortal, to the point where there is abnormal emotional and/or psychological spillover.  So to use your star trek anaolgy, what if when Kirk get unusually emotional, the normally reserved Spock runs the risk of catching the emotion (perhaps without the experience and coping mechnisms needed to handle it) and so flys off in some emotional spiral (pon far, or wasnt there some sort of rage-spore episode?)Kust tossing out a random

Sophos, from the Greek for 'Wise', though I don't blame you for confusing it with Sophie, which has the same root.

That could be an aspect, actually; Phillip's emotions influencing Sophos and Sophos' reactions influencing Phillip's thoughts. Not sure how that would be phrased, but it's certainly a nice source of compels, and perhaps an invoke to resist mental or social consequences. "Fool Us Twice" or something similar?

Oh yes, but it'd be someone else calling the spirit that. Sharing a house with a female is stressful enough for most men without the spirit in their head identifying as female too.

I considered that phrasing, but don't like it quite as much. The idea is that Phillip might be fooled/intimidated, but Sophos isn't, or vice versa.

Hmmm, Im thinking maybe a two-way street? Sophos gets overwhelmed by Emotional spill-over, while Phil get's logical blind-spots and jumps to poor conclusions from "spock-spillover" (for lack of a better term) in a Sheldon Cooper style.

So, for example, if the pair of them found a naked wereleopard woman in their backyard (totally random example); Sophos' judgment of the woman might be influenced by Phillip's interest in the woman, but Phillip might start trying to relate all of her personality traits and quirks to the fact that she is a wereleopard from Sophos' influence.

Yup. So in General Sophos would have the flash mood swing tendencies of a teenager unaccustomed to the intensity of hormone driven emotions, whereas Phil might mentally gloss over emotional motivations in favor of the more objective facts, when investigating whatever they investigate.   



Thinking about wording: if you go with "Of Two Minds" it would twig to "Of Two Minds about Everything" as in differing perspectives and interpretations (and even disagreements) of everything, but also "Two Minds are Better than One."


If they disagree, to what degree can Sophos defy, or even possess and control, Phil?  Or can Phil still give undefyable Orders like Harry/Butters can to Bob?

The best way I can analogize it would be the hexenwolves. Phillip is Sophos' "Demonic" Co-Pilot in that while Sophos could take control of the body, it would be with Phillip's consciousness either asleep, regressed or dormant, but Sophos would still be running off Phillip's subconscious. All the involuntary actions would still take place, and the subconscious way most people walk, talk and breathe (you don't think left, right, left, right when walking unless you're a soldier) would still be in effect. Like the captain of an international flight letting his Co-Pilot watch the instruments while he sleeps.

As for undefyable orders, I'm not sure. Sophos isn't aggressive, so Phillip remains the dominant personality. The Rules of etiquette might paint Sophos as a permanent guest, so that could influence things.
