The Take-Out Chain Game
« on: March 07, 2015, 11:01:52 PM »
After a conversation on the boards, I was inspired to try a game.

You must come up with an excessive, super-deadly attack.  The next person Narrates a Non-Lethal Take-Out.  Points for originality, cheesiness and over-the-topness.

Note:  The attacker has to dictate the Take-Out.  (otherwise, it's a concession)

"murder?  no, no, that wasn't murder!  I just knocked them out!"

I'll start with an easy cliché

Weapon 5 Rocket Launcher attack.

Weapon 5 Rocket Launcher attack.
Rocket flies into the window of a vehicle behind the target and explodes, sending a door flying off into the target's back. He gets knocked over, face-plants on the ground, and is knocked unconscious.

Next up: Weapon: 7 vulcanomancy area attack.

((This is an awesome game.))

Turn the ground liquid and have it flow over them in a wave. It hardens, trapping them in place. Not a block, because it's intended to end the fight for good.

Weapon 9 attack with Mythic Strength and a big sharp axe.

Weapon 9 attack with Mythic Strength and a big sharp axe.

The axe hits with the flat of the blade, almost gently, and the victim collapses into unconsciousness.

Drop a large building on someone with explosives. Weapon 12.

Drop a large building on someone with explosives. Weapon 12.

A saboteur is planting a bomb under a car in a garage when an earthquake occurs and collapses the structure. He is pinned for days beneath the vehicle he intended to destroy. Days later when he is rescued, he gets life in prison.

The hurricane of the century. Weapon 15.

I have to do this one because I have a Paul Bunyan character in a game I run.

Quote
Weapon 9 attack with Mythic Strength and a big sharp axe.

With a single swipe, he cuts down a mighty tree which falls on his enemy, pinning him.

The hurricane of the century. Weapon 15.

Running for shelter, you're broadsided by a flying shark.  Stumbling side-ways, You fall down an open man-hole, hitting your head rendering you unconscious until the storm passes.

AMBUSH!!!

Weapon 6 (you know...stunts) Sniper rifle from a block away.  (caught flat-footed)

My reaction to Sanctaphrax's post about non-death by sniper bullet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_e-CNh-gc8

Weapon 0 accuracy 16 attack from the pavement beneath you as you fall from a skyscraper.

You catch the flagpole and hang there, 10 stories up until someone can rescue you...

Next:

You're walking in the woods... There's no one around,  and your phone is dead...
Out of the corner of your eye you spot him... Shia Labeouf.

Fists at 6 with Inhuman Strength and Claws for Weapon: 4 as well as some kind of vampirism.

The sky cracks open and and a mass of flesh dissolving protoplasm from beyond time falls on you. Weapon 4. It's not the stuff that hurts the most, it's the eldritch pitching arm behind it.

You roll out the way of the protoplasm but bang your head on a for sale sign and fall unconscious.

You are trying to defuse a dirty bomb when it explodes in your face. Weapons 20 attack.
Every night has its day.
Even forever must come to an end....

You are defusing it in the Nevernever in an area where radiation does not affect organic tissue. Your last second shield absorbs the force of the explosion, but the massive amount of power you put into it causes you to collapse into unconsciousness.

A kraken grabs hold of you with two of its massive tentacles, trying to rip you in two with its Mythic Strength.

Accuracy 8, Weapon 12 Might attack.

It pulls off your legs. Fortunately, the massive pressure exerted by its grip keeps your blood in while it drags you underwater to eat later. You're crippled and likely to drown soon, but you're not dead.

Ten thousand flesh-eating locusts descend upon you. Accuracy 8, weapon 2.

The locusts eat all your flesh. Fortunately, you're undead, so that's painful and inconvenient rather than unlife ending.

Hammered by machine fire from all sides like in that scene from the first Godfather movie.

As officiator of the game I want to clarify that the attacker must dictate a TAKE OUT; it's not a concession.  The person taking the damage doesn't get to dictate the non-lethal part.  I edited the first post.

Hammered by machine fire from all sides like in that scene from the first Godfather movie.

The first bullet hits the person in the throat and they fall over onto the floor of the car.  Fortunately, the car shields the person from most of the other bullets.  It looks pretty bad but, really, the other bullets mostly missed and the person has lost lots and lots of blood....

(not the best - but it was a tough one...)

Next: A 40 foot radius column of Fiery Soul-Fire  (a la Flame Strike)
The column rises up around the target, surrounding them, and once it's done the target has seen the error of his ways, surrendering and/or passed out in fear.
