Where's the hat?
« on: September 04, 2015, 12:22:42 AM »
I have been away for awhile and just logged in to peek around! I saw the cover art for Aeronaut's Windlass and I can not help being a smart a@# and ask where is the character's hat? I mean if Harry gets a hat for each cover art shouldn't Captain Grimm? (I hope that is Grimm! I haven't had a chance to read the prologue and chapter 1 yet)

Shibby ;) :P

Life is like a box of chocolates and Harry seems to find all the coconut ones!

It's only because Harry doesn't wear a hat.  So maybe this new character, Grimm, does wear a hat, and so he would be shown without one.

It's the goggles that matter.  I think Jim mighta strangled someone if they didn't include the goggles.  I believe one of his descriptions of how he came up with the story was:

Quote from: My fuzzy recollection of a WoJ
If it's steam-punk it's got to have goggles.  I mean, they make for such fun cosplay.  When I started creating the story I started with that and then built the rest of the world around why the goggles were needed on the aero-ships.

Name dropping "Serack" in a post /will/ draw my attention to it
