Max Barry: First Novel Workshop

Fantastic op I can't afford:
http://www.chuckpalahniuk.net/community/showthread.php?threadid=30453

What you'll get in this clinic includes...

Six weeks of online learning that will forever change your notion of what can be learned in such a short time. A forum that’s open for your participation 24 hrs per day, seven days per week, for six full weeks. In a recent survey, several cult masters class students expressed the desire for longer, more intricate class offerings. You said ‘bring it.’ And so we’re bringing it. Like the ass-kicking Contortionist's Hotseat, with Craig Clevenger, and Monica Drake's Your Fiction or Your Life, just concluded, this intensive will trump our previous four-week offerings by half again, allowing greater depth and complexity, and just a tad more breathing room.

Six cleverly crafted assignments, hand-tailored by the author of Syrup, Jennifer Government, and Company.

A small, high-functioning group for peer review. A survey of all those students who have done three or more intensives with us reveals that a majority of you prefer the organizational and expectancy value that a defined critique group provides.

A tight cap on the overall class size. To offer the maximum value in the instructor’s attention and feedback, we’ll be capping this class at 24 and allowing no more, even if you beg. So please, sign up early.

Two trips into the SPOTLIGHT for you and your group. This is the space where Max will take the submissions of two, randomly selected peer groups for that week and place them under the magnifying lens, giving you two very in-depth reviews in the course of this intensive. You won’t know which two of the six weeks your own group will be going in, so you’ll have to stay sharp and on top of things. Each review performed by Max Barry in this special section will provide an object lesson for the whole class.

It doesn't stop there. Max will also deconstruct specimens of published work and discuss query letters in Max's Lab, inviting you to step into the lab for a specialized view of fun and powerful literature, examining what works and why.

Telephone consultations will provide the opportunity to call in and gain an added dimension of contact, for insight and advice, even while most of this intensive will be conducted in the purely textual environment of a private online forum, a natural work environment for writers that allows you to read, practice, and make submissions at any time of the day or night that suits your schedule.

Son of a...

And here I am wasting my paycheck on things like rent and food...bah.

Wish I could participate.
I'm a videographer by trade.  Check out my work if you're a writer that needs to procrastinate.  Not as good as Rhett and Link, but I do what I can.
