Hey, sorry I never answered back - I somehow only just ran across this post today. I wasn't ignoring you or anything and I'm not sure how I missed getting it back when you posted it.

So where had I been? In a dark hole studying for finals. They're over now, though, so I can actually relax, surf the net, play video games, write, and have fun again (part of that fun, of course, being posting on this board with you guys.)  ;D

Yes, but that's artistic license - however in the books - I believe he keeps commenting on wanting to get a hat.  He just never does.

Nope, he actually constantly says he doesn't wear hats. Others tell him to get one though.

Yeah - personally, I kinda like him with the hat. It really completes the whole gumshoe image. Accurate or not (and normally I'm really critical on this) I can't help but love the cover art! ;)
