This one is painful to watch.. would you recognize genius?
« on: August 17, 2007, 10:19:25 PM »
Okay so you sent queries and no one seems interested?  Check out this Washington Post article.

"No one knew it, but the fiddler standing against a bare wall outside the Metro in an indoor arcade at the top of the escalators was one of the finest classical musicians in the world, playing some of the most elegant music ever written on one of the most valuable violins ever made. His performance was arranged by The Washington Post as an experiment in context, perception and priorities -- as well as an unblinking assessment of public taste: In a banal setting at an inconvenient time, would beauty transcend?"

It speaks for itself...

It's true, you see it all the time. You see it in writing, in music, in Television (I can name a certain show here but I'm sure other's will mention it). Studios and Publishers put out and advertise what they think can be marketable. They try to hedge their bets as much as they can

That is one of the best articles I have ever read in a newspaper.
