Filled some plot holes.  Worked on some of the end scenes.  Hope to finish this spring and get it to the "alphas."

No writing today, but I have a good reason -- finally got a hold of "Cold Days," and I'm reading that..... ;D

Today's been spent unwriting.  Going through, looking for redundancies and bits I love that do nothing to move the story forward.  Knocked about 2K off of a 33K novella.  Listening via Text to Speech, I found a number of places that were plodding infodumps which weren't really obvious when reading.  Paragraph here, two or three sentences that could be replaced by one nice, crisp one, that sort of thing.

251k - AIS

Finally reached the end of the first draft.  I have about 6 possible chapters that need/ should be written and put in, stuff that fell by the wayside pounding my way through to the finish line.  After that I think its all editing.

Still going strong with 1000+ a night. I have about 7 chapters left until the finish. My book will probably round out at 80-85,000 words, not nearly as much as others here  8)

I should finish the draft in mid-april, then I will spend two months fixing errors and plot holes found by my editor, then come the middle or end of June the book will be released!  ;D

80,000-85,000 is a good wordcount, especially for a first novel. My first was even shorter than that after editing.

Not sure if this sort of thing counts, but I got word that my second novel, Silent Oath, is now moving on to copy edits.

Merlin's Courtship = 103K. Managed to string together five stright days of exceeding my daily wordcount goals, but I'm currently only at 67% of March's monthy goal.... >:(

Spent a few hours today at a Panera Bread in Redmond and broadly outlined a Superhero Serial Killer Movie I had had in mind for a while.

It was fun...and a bit disturbing...

Even if it never gets made it'll be fun to write a first draft.

Through pass on #2 finished.  98,364 words.  This is a good place to stop before heading off for Cambridge.  Not that I did; I poked at chpater 1 of #3 and wrote a first 400 wordsish of chapter 12, which will hopefully help me by giving me a hook to come back to when I do.

So far I've broken the book up into two parts.

Just got done with the 1st pass edit for the 135k section which has expanded to something around 147-150k.  I still need to figure out where to weave in a couple of the tack on chapters that got missed in the general push to get this beast done.  That could be hours or days, as if its not done by tomorrow noon, I'm off for a couple days to Leyte.

Regardless be it later today or middle of next week.  I'll be putting out the first half for the betas.  right now thinking to make it two books and release at the same time.

Added 2k today.  Wrote part of the climax for one character arc.
