ill have to dig about it, but someone asked Jim once about the Mab/shakespeare connection and he laughed it off, noting that Mab is much older then shakespeare.

furthermore, Mab says she was mortal once in CD
Yeah, but Germans and Hungarians don't pull people's theories out of their sockets when they're challenged.  Ducks are known to do that.

Considering the Fomor popping up all over the place. I would like to see more Lovecraftian baddies (Cthulhu mythos monsters).

I was. just pointing out that Mab(shakespeare) != Mab (butcher). Mab (butcher) much more related to Mab (original)

Serack, do you have the woj where someone asks Jim about the bill the bard Mab?

The wikipedia entry on Mab says she was first mentioned by Shakespeare. Do you know where she was mentioned before that?

Mab is an alternate name for an aspect of the Morrigan.

But since Celti mythology ties more knots than the Summers Family Tree who truly knows anymore?

the name is a more modern spelling of  maeb, which is also the name for morgawse

shes from 1st century bc celtic myhtology, the goddess of war and magic; in some variants shes a part of the morrigan

They all come from old Irish Medb, the queen of Connaught.

I always thought it funny that Mab's daughter Maeve just had a more modern version of her own name.

Though the queen was likely inspired by the goddess.

'joshua, eli, elijah, ellia...'

It looks like the name Maeb was also one of spellings of the queen of Connaught's name.  The queen is far more often mentioned.

There are theories that Medb was the goddess ritually married with the king.

later connections include Morgawse as 'the queen of the isle' as well as 'the queen of air and darkness' related to maeves 'queen of the north'

mytholgy. lets be honest folks; its millenia of fan fic.

I'd like to see an interaction between krampus, harry, and santa. That would be fun to read. Also is Krampus a distinct entity or a mask like odin with santa, if so who's behind the mask.
