I humbly request that you spell FAQ with all capital letters, as it appears eerily similar to a hateful term when written in all lower-cased letters.

Shannon brought it up, which was the first place I saw it (it may have been suggested before), and I got volunteered to work something up.

We're going with the concept of I'm acting as editor, but the text comes from you guys (or Jim, or Robert, or Iago/rdonoghue, etc).


It's not going to be fast, but it'll probably be thorough as hell.

Is this FAQ for the Jum Butcher Community chat (ex. wheres my bleeping avator) and how can you determine what a frequently asked question is shouldn't it just be question's

A FAQ is a compilation of information designed to address questions that frequently come up...as long as there's a standard answer (in that case, Where's my Avatar? isn't one, unless the answer for everyone is the same, like "Over your left shoulder, behind the couch."

A *good* FAQ tries to stave off questions before they're asked, and becomes a tome of standard knowledge...in this case about all things public about Jim & his works, which is what we're slowly trying to do.

Perhaps more to the point, it's designed to give people a place to look up common questions themselves, so the same questions don't get asked 50 times a week on the forums.

Well, he's always been pretty witty (at least in the 16-17 years I've known him) although all the writing he does has sharpened and quickened that wit.  You don't have time to see the wheels turn anymore.
