Driving to the Plaza for this event was a horrible experience for me.
Please do not hold future events in the busiest part of town, where I have to look for buildings with no street numbers, while dodging pedestrians, in the dark.
I'm pretty sure the venue is determined by the host Rainy Day Books, and I know that the Unity Temple on the Plaza is their go to venue for when they expect a large turnout. It seats 1200+ and is connected to a parking deck. I know traffic is bonkers there but I'd rather be patient with traffic and pedestrians than get shoe-horned into a rather modestly sized (though still awesome) book store.
I don't know about street numbers, but it does have a lighted Unity sign after dark and the tower is visible from quite a ways off during daylight.
I only got transplanted to KC for work about a year ago, had mixed feelings about it, but when the realization hit I'd actually be able to make it to signing events as long as I live here that was a big fat check in the plus column.
Feel better soon Jim!
