Reference Collection Index
« on: July 11, 2012, 12:27:40 PM »
This sticky is intended to serve as an organized index of references and discussions on the series.  Most of the theories that come to conclusions are indexed seperately in Elegast's Theory Index sticky.

The second post in this topic serves as a index of topics by poster.  It currently contains those by posters with half a dozen or more Theories/topics (plus knnn with is 5 links)

The Index:

the blog "Sarah's Reviews" seems to do an impressive job of keeping track of information on future books.

I'm going to re-purpose the second post in this topic to index prolific theory writer's topics by writer.  Mostly because I want an index of my own theories, but also because there are others who have contributed a body of theories that should be seen as such rather than as individual theories scattered throughout the pages of the collection.  This doesn't count pure reference topics like Griff's excellent one on soul gazes

I tried to put the theories generally in chronological order.  The higher they are on the list, the older, and possibly more outdated they are.

Here's my "Santa Claus is a Fae" reference collection thread: http://www.jimbutcheronline.com/bb/index.php/topic,36232.msg1725563.html#msg1725563

You know this thread seems kind of outdated (I think that even some of your reference collection threads are not here) . Did you forget about it?
Please, call me Count :).

Thanks go to Shecky for the nickname and Serack for the avatar ^,..,^

I came to the Forum because of my absolute love for Jim's writing talent and ability and my gratitude for the DF's for helping me get through a very terrible 2012.  I just really enjoy reading all things DV.

After spending a week just looking over everything, skimming some topics, delving deeply into others I have to do an absolute Nerdgasm shout-out to all of you.  You're brilliant and funny and have spent more brain-time in 5 minutes thinking out all the "What if, Could it be's and What happens next" involved than I've done in reading the entire series multiple times.  Thank you for giving me so much more to consider and more excuses to dive right back into the books!

I will nerdgasm, but I refuse to squeeee

Does anyone have any theories on who Harry's grandmother might be? My theory is it's Lea. His mother, Margaret Le Fey, had close connections to Fairy, maybe because she was a changeling?

There is a WoJ that confirms she was an ordinary mortal.

The second post of this topic is now an index of theories by poster.  This was a first pass and I went through the pages of the DFRC and indexed those that had more than a fewish (other than knnn, all in the list have over half a dozen)  I'll consider adding contributors with as many as 3 topics later.
