I think Jim just writes really compelling wizards. And medical examiners.
You've managed- in our three years together- to kill not only my god, but my father, my brother, and my fiancée. That's kind of like a homicidal hat trick. It's a strange foundation for a relationship.

And pets... and porn producers. I mean, seriously. I was upset for Arturo that he didn't get his last movie done.

And dew-drop faeries.

“Oh, Harry,” Toot said breathlessly. “Haven’t you ever had pizza before?” “Of course I have,” I said. Toot looked wounded. “And you didn’t share?”

I used to be hurting for a Molly short story.
NOW... I Hunger for a Molly POV Trilogy;D
"You did a bad thing once. It does not make you a monster." "What if it does? What if it does Harry?" "Molly, you are a good person. Don't let anyone take that away from you. Not even yourself." "Are you sure?" "Yes." "You're okay. You aren't a monster. You're gonna be alright, grasshopper."

And dew-drop faeries.

Many many years ago after I read the Lord of the Rings, I could never stand to read about tiny elves or fairies again. I have to thank Jim Butcher for giving them back to me.

yeah, I would have edited that one so that the guy had a staff and the girl would have blond hair.  But it didn't really fit with the cover-theme, so no-go.

I was also tempted to leave this original alone and just put title-work on it, and say it was Harry and Murphy.  But again, two people do not a cover make.

I think Molly would envision something more along the lines of:
