Arkham, fair enough.

Don, aww, you can read the thread. It has some Duck in it  :)

LOL Ala, excellent!

I would leave the matrix...I think.

It's actually a really hard question i was discussing it yesterday.

I decided i could not live a lie. I would leave, because Earth is ours not theirs.
Sir  Reginald.
I will miss you, my friend Mdodd. May you find peace.
Snowy,  I am rooting for you. I hope you remain happy and as comfortable as possible.

How bout we talk about the Matrix

If you had the choice, right now and you found out you were in the matrix, would you leave?

This does not mean you are the one you are just getting a chance to leave.

It depends. If I could control the Matrix, knowing it's nature, I would stay.
If it was between the life I have now and a hopeless war with machines...I'll take the robot war.

I think I would leave but...what is I don't know where hubby is? What if I can't awake him?

Honestly, I haven't seen enough of the Matrix movies to make that decision.

What if people were blue?
Is it just me or is it getting a little solipsistic in here?

thing is, the robot war is a matrix itself. all those new powers neo developed in the end, while in the 'real world' .. hes not. its all just one mor eismualtion..
Yeah, but Germans and Hungarians don't pull people's theories out of their sockets when they're challenged.  Ducks are known to do that.

See that's one of the things that makes this decision hard, leaving your people

No, no. That was supposed to happen in Matrix 2 and 3, which never existed *shakes head*

If it wasn't for some excellent Hugo Weaving, I would unequivocally support that statement.

How do I know for sure that I'm not in some sort of matrix-like reality right now?  You people could all just be simulations or figments of my imagination.

I know but the hypothetical war, which would have been awesome, i would fight because im a humanist. Though i would not force anyone to leave the matrix who did not want to merely give them all the choice.

Generally speaking, that's precisely what we are. Cyberspace avatars, controlled and manipulated in this realm by personalities at electronic consoles.
