Boy, that is going to be a long book. But then again my first one was 320,000 words long. Second was only 76,000 or so. 

But still sounds good.

But I will add that I did zip last night.

Wrote a letter to the editor for my local paper and critiqued a story for someone else but no new words for my projects.

My brother and I were so impressed with the speed at which I wrote my TV Pilot for Amazon that when he traveled to my place for a visit, we decided to write a second TV series together.


A few days in and the Series Bible's first pass is almost done and after that we can tag-team the Pilot.

Sigh, I am not writing, I am machining. I have a panel at world con, about steam power in an alternate history story cycle. So I am making an engine to show how a 17th cent craftsman would make the tech work.

The engine block.. is a block of wood Grin.

Finally went back to thing I am supposed to be working on, last night; did the remaining messy chapter merge.  Have discovered there's one more chapter merge I thought I'd done but haven't, thought that should be very simple, and then it's just a straight pass through through the remaining twenty chapters or so and a rearrange of chapter-header sections.

100 words tonight, and revised some notes.  Also talked with my wife about character development and stuff.

The good news is that work appears to be winding down a bit, so my brain won't be fried every night, and I bought a bike for exercise's sake!

Healthy body, healthy mind.  I find I do my best stuff if I'm reasonably fit...or at least under the delusions that I'm working on getting fit.

No new words for the last coupe of days but I did redo some of a story I'm going to be sending out. It's First Person and I needed to Show what he experienced more than just have him Tell it. I did or it's closer anyway.

Ah ha!  I am not left handed!  137k down, in the word processor, that is over 600,000 characters. Meaning if you count my first book and this one, I've typed on the keyboard over a million times.  And that's just in my full length novels, it doesn't count my various story starts I've done along the way.  I call them the 100 and 1 stories I'll never get around to writing.

Anyway today was a free day, and unlike yesterday I met my quota of 5k a day to keep the gremlins away!

138k - he can't be stopped.  He won't be stopped! ....  and now its time to fall over asleep.  My work here is done.  At least for the night.

Good going D King. But we do all have to sleep too...rats.



But I managed to get 2,258 words in today. Finished a story-An alchemy steampunk fusion-and that gives me 'till Tuesday to revise it and nitpick check it.

Had to go back through it and add a few sentences to show my MC changed. And the whole thing is about two thousand words longer than I thought it would be and that was without adding a couple of scenes I finally decided it didn't need.
