What about spoored magic that is sponsored by the characters own arcane fueled self destructive behavior? Say perhaps a biomancer who can do alterations to their own body and others with thaumaturgy. Its a destructive process that takes it's toll and compels from sponsor debt come in the form of their own body failing them or wigging out on them somehow.
