Post number level names...
« on: June 29, 2011, 05:48:56 PM »
I've never cared for McPostypants or whatever. I'm moving in on 5000 but I'll still be McPosypants, and I will be at least until 10,000, I think...  *sigh* I really do hate it. It makes me think of that saying, "Put on your woman's grown up panties and deal with it."  (Men, if you have to ask what I mean then ask your female friends.) See why I hate it?

Could we please, please, please go back to the original ones? They were fun and they were sort of like role playing.

Well, just a suggestion...  Now I'll go back to being a grown up and ignoring the title...  if I have to...

Did the original system go up that high?

Why are we mcpostington now?
Missing you, Md

What are the upper levels?  Is there anything above 'Seriously?'

Isn't there "Needs a Life" for 20,000+?
Is it just me or is it getting a little solipsistic in here?

I liked the Dresden-themed labels we had before, personally.

In case you weren't around.. I think the old ones were--what?  Mortal, Apprentice, Wizard etc?  White Council (or should that be Gray now?) was reserved for moderators I think.  Jena may have a better memory.  There is a line in a Noel Coward play, Waiting in the Wings, "My mind is like a sieve."   Yep, that's my mind.

Don't care about the number of posts to get to different levels, I just prefer the old classifications.

And yes, that's better. Thank you!

So that's where that comes from!

I have learnt so much from this forum in the past week.  Thanks meg_evonne.

I like to think of my brains as a broken egg dribbling through a metal sieve---yuck, and far too true.  *sigh*

What exactly was wrong with the pants?  I've never heard of that saying, so I'm lost.
"Battle not with monsters, lest you become a sad stain on the carpet, and if you gaze into the abyss, you will get very bored."
"No, the crab is immune to your charms.  You can, however, roll a seduction check for the cuttlefish."

"Put on your big-girl panties" is an even more derogatory way of saying "Grow up." Although I'd never heard that version; I'd seen "Put on your big-boy pants" far more often (not directed at me, 'cause I was born a surly old man :D ).

I've had that version said to me, and I'm a girl.   :D

I still don't see how the McPosterpants were offensive, though, since nobody was being insulted.  Personally, I liked the pants.  They kept my virtual butt nice and toasty.

Ehren wears pants.  I would not consider a comparison to him to be derogatory. :D

*gasp*  They must have taken the pants to cripple our batmanning skills!  How could they?!  >:(
