Okay, here are two 'interesting' character ideas I have come up with.
The first is a Native American of mixed "Skraeling" and Norse descent. More specifically, he is descended from a Norse wendol or "Eater of the Dead" (like in the Michael Crichton novel) that was brought to North America in one of the early migrations and ended up intermarrying. From that time, the bloodline has survived in various northern tribes, with descendants able to absorb the power of the people whom they eat. hence "Eater of the Dead".
As part of the backstory, the bloodline would be at least partially responsible for the native legends of the Wendigo.
The way I planned on handling this character, would be through the power Mimic Abilities, with the character using up the Mimic points as people/things were consumed, to absorb the power of those consumed. Perhaps a key difference would be that the Mimic points, once 'used' could not be re-used by discarding a 'consumed' power.
Two or three other areas of interest with regards to this are the potential for a Recovery power, with a Catch of Fire and/or Recovery only possible by consuming the meat of an intelligent creature. Another possibility would be for a Feeding Dependency, with the requirement again being the need to eat someone.

Now, my second character idea is a bit different, and this one I could use some help in 'modeling' the character.
Basically I'm starting with a young boy, about ten years old, who has the potential to become a Wizard, and his powers are just starting to emerge.
Somehow (mechanism to be determined later, depending on how the modeling goes), the boy has something else living inside his head aside from himself. I haven't decided whether this is going to be a Spirit of Intellect like Bob, or a high-end magical computer database matrix like the Archive/Ivey. Whichever 'path' as it were, gets chosen, the boy is the first person to have this thing sharing head-space, which means that there is no previous experience for the thing to provide the boy. Unless/until the boy reads or experiences something, the thing doesn't know about it. However, once that has happened, the thing can provide perfect recall to the boy in an instant whenever asked.
Another property of this thing, is that it is 'inheritable' being able to be passed from one host to another in the bloodline, much like the Archive. I haven't decided on whether the thing should have isn't own distinct personality, or whether its primary and secondary motivations are the preservation of its host bloodline, and the knowledge accumulated by the various hosts.
