Sponsored Magic: Only one, or multiple?

I kind of figured he traded the island spirit for Unseelie Magic.  So I read it as him having that and Soulfire.  I guess he wouldn't have had to.  Harry seems to switch sponsors like I switch t-shirts though. I'd be calling shenanigans were I his GM.

.  Need to re-read the books I guess.    As for shenanigans, I don't really see a problem as long as each sponsor is paid for with refresh.  Don't think a second sponsor gives nearly as much a power boost as the first.  It's more a case of additional options...and agendas.

I do think sponsor agendas should be emphasized.  Else even one sponsor can cause an imbalance in power.

I see "could Hairy do something like this?" as a good goalpost as a GM when a player wants to do something.

I don't think Harry technically had Demonreach as a Sponsor. He never used it for a magical boost or extra magic in general, and we didn't see any of the potential agenda; just a warning that the magic was dark. If anything, I think his ability to gain the knowledge of the island was either a Temporary Power or a plot device.
Therefore, the only Sponsors I know Harry had by the end of Changes were Mab (Unseelie Magic) and whatever powers Soulfire (which went to the side a bit by the end).

Well said on that one. While my players have not read the series, they are liking the system and what it has to offer :-D

In Changes he had Mab, Soulfire, and tagged a leyline.  He still has Demonreach, but he can only use that sponsor when he's on the island

...

The above has me wondering how to best handle place based "sponsors"...

I see no reason why not, unless there's a conflict of interest (which could easily arise in the future given Harry's 2 definitive sponsors).
