How about a thread for just general-purpose plots/ideas?

I had two earlier today I wanted to share.

1) There is a Guardian to a Place. Now this Place could be an armory for ancient magical items like the Staff of Moses, or it could be a place of Significant Power, or a gate to the Outsiders - that's up to you. The Guardian, however, is the lock to the Door; if it dies, the door is opened. The Guardian is wounded - something Big and Bad hurt it at some point, and the wound doesn't heal, but this guardian is so big and nasty, so powerful that it doesn't impair it.

The problem is that someone or something is making the Guardian's wound worse. It's bleeding more, sapping more of the thing's power, and making it easier to kill. That is a big deal.

PCs could be dragged into this similar to either Small Favor or White Night; pushed into it by existing powers in an official sense, or lured into it by a third party to take out the opposition. The Guardian Itself could even be concerned.

(The Wound idea could work for any number of other things, such as an Accords Baron who is wounded and wishes to hide it, but is fearful an enemy now knows of his wound and is exploiting it in this manner, hoping to get outside help)

2) This could correspond with the above, the Place the Guardian is guarding, but it's not necessary.

The Garden of Eden.

Eden is on earth, and it is a place of immense power. This is the place where the world (or Universe or what have you) was created. Aside from being a paradise, a nature-themed utopia, Eden like God's workshop - a conduit of Creation magic. Because of this, wholly new things could be created in Eden. New life forms. New continents or smaller physical locations (which would mean a new place would be created within the Nevernever to respond to this physical locale). New magical life forms. You could take an existing life form (like say a T-Rex) and "make" a full grown one (like a clone with a blank slate). Furthermore, a seriously complex magical construct like the Archive could be made much easier in Eden.

You might say "Wow that's abuseable, PCs'd be making magical item factories and sharks with frickin laser beams on their heads". Thing is that Eden is not a place for amateurs. We're talking Odin or Cowl level players here, not Dresden level.
