I toying with the idea of making Mayor Mark Funkhouser and his wife villains in my campaign (I live in Kansas City).

Mister Butcher himself would probably laugh at that idea. He's a local boy  :)
No, ma'am. We at the FBI do not have a sense of humor we're aware of. May we come in?

Villains can be fun to make - especially if they aren't powerhouses when it comes to a fight.  A spider in a web is much harder to fight than a troll...

The average troll could eat Marcone without a fight - if Marcone didn't have his guards nearby - but Marcone is far the more dangerous to have as an enemy.

Yeah, I'm toying with the idea of starting a "Monster of the Week" (thank you X-Files/The Outer Limits) thread in the resources forum once I'm more familiar with the rules and have more time to. Ideally posting a monster/villain from folklore and mythology, or an original creation each week.

Apparently I do a lot of toying with ideas... :-\

Please do not start a new thread on the Resources board.

Especially not another character thread.

Start it here.

Hay Richard a link you posted lead me to this thread, I just wanted to state that I found these two characters truly engaging and reading them very entertaining. Thank you for posting them. :-)

I'm glad you enjoyed them.

Sorry that I almost missed your comment - it came during the time I was trying to find Diablo 3 as enjoyable as its predecessors.

Alas, it's not.  Then again, since I don't have a 60th level character in that game, it seems that I'm not playing it the way it was intended...

Back on topic, I'm glad you enjoyed the characters.  I've always thought that flawed (as opposed to evil) characters make the best villains.  And former victim who goes on to be an abuser - that's a classic approach.  When the players can say "I can see how the villain got where he/she is" then it's a more plausible villain than a "I grew up evil and now I'm evil and I'm going to do horrible things because I want to" type villain.
