Odd item question would this work
« on: December 04, 2010, 08:54:05 PM »
Having two enchantments on an item that work in conjunction. So when the block strength is bypassed you can use the 2nd as armor.  Given the chanmail could have a 2 armor but that would be ignored.

Chain mail
1 Enchanting slot, Block 6 or Armor 3, 3 uses

Technically, you cannot have 2 abilities on a single item. You can however make the items into gems, pins, sigils, runes or whatever and add them into a bigger item.

To make both work, flavor one as sort of forcefield that deflects attacks (so it will usually be block) and the other into a stoneskin effect that absorbs them (usually armor).

The limitation isn't on multiple enchantments on the same item, but that the same enchantment can't do many things.

The rules exception of the warden's sword is that it is one enchantment that works either as a weapon or as an attack against enchantment.

You can make your own version (probably using more enchantment slots) that has two separate enchantments, one for the weapon, and one for the enchantment breaking just fine.
