Extending Sword

I know I'm totally ripping off anime and such like but how would you guys handles an extending sword?

Can you be a little more precise? Is "extending" all it can do?

Do you want to attack at range? Do more damage? Or both?

I'd negotiate what is allowable within the setting, and if you can't get exactly what you want as a weapon option, make it an item of power and add a 1-point advantage Ranged allowing it to attack a zone away, or buy it as a Ranged Weapon:3.

Yoh could also take an Aspect like Master of the Extending Sword, which you can invoke for bonuses or bizarre maneuvers. Or buy a stunt which allows you to do bizarre things using your Weapons skill, or a simple +2 in strategic combat situations

Lol good point I think the hour was getting to me. The internets going a short way to make me sound more like an idiot.

As for the actual mechanical applications I have no real idea on how this would work. The only real thing I could think of was a IoP weapon with the breath weapon ability but I was wondering if anyone could think of anything more interesting.

Interesting and workable but on a side note  stop posting when I'm trying to post. Seriously folks show some consideration.
