Yes, it does help, but it gives me an idea for other things, not my NaNo. I really don't feel like writing right now about anything even close to a novel.

Even so. Find whatever scene that it might lend itself to, and write that. Or write other stuff. You can always go back to your NaNo later. But seriously, use it. Even if it's just a journal entry pouring it all out. That could be helpful later on. I found myself going back to a 5yr old story to put my mind back into the mindset I needed for part of my novel because the emotion I was trying to recall was so far removed that I was having trouble writing it with the impact I wanted.

Yeah, right now I'm trying to keep focused on school. I'm gonna give it another day and go back and try to write.
