Born to a rich family in New York in 1900, Michael grew up spoiled and mostly
clueless of the poverty and pain around him. When he was 25 years old, his father died of pneumonia shortly before Christmas. His mother had died giving birth to him. He could not understand why his parents could be taken away and became very angry with God. He prayed and prayed and finally figured out what was wrong. He had been blessed and had done nothing with it. His family was hoarding wealth while children starved in the streets. He gave most of his money to the Church, save a silver cross, passed through generations. He became a Dominican Friar and put his complete faith in Providence.

When he arrived at the St. Joseph Province, he could tell something was a
little different. They knew that he was blessed by God in a peculiar way
and given gifts of the Spirit that would allow him to combat evil in the
material world. The brothers gave him a Clementine Bible blessed by the
Pope and a rosary which contained seeds from Gethsemane and wood
from the True Cross (or so they told him, no one was sure if it was true).
They taught him to use his gifts to protect those in need, to fight the forces
of evil, and to bring the Light of Christ to those in darkness.

When Fr. D'angelo tries to use his gifts to protect some of the homeless near his Province, he is almost overwhelmed by a Black Court Vampire. Will he
overcome his terror and be able to bring a light in the darkness?

Trying.  Should be the link at the bottom.  Let me know if it doesn't work.

You really can't afford it, but this guy totally needs The Sight.

I'd suggest "mystic defender of the faith"
Wizards not only have sight, they have full evocation and thamaturgy. They are powerful and flexible.

A wizard requires Evocation and Thaumaturgy. You've got a sorcerer on your hands.

A sorcerer requires those too. However, given this guy has the Musts of a True Believer as well as a Focused Practitioner, and that Righteousness is only ever mentioned as a Champion of God Must in the Template chapter, I'd worry less about what Template he is, and more about how awesome it is to have a badass Theurgist-type like this running around.

I'm a big fan of True Believer/Spell Caster combos.

One of the questions which sticks out in my mind is what sort of concept the player has for the character to engage opponents?

Given that Channel/Evocation is more of the "thug" side of magic, is the good Father expecting to go toe to toe with a member of the Vampire Courts and layeth the smack downe?  Assuming that the character is existing in the current time period of the Dresden Files, it would make the priest about a hundred years old (quite possible for a wizard-priest) and I would expect that if the Vatican had a spry, century-old priest, they have assigned him "special" duties.  Ones which might involve a greater deal of magical rituals like the binding/banishing of demons, exorcisms, etc.

While it is entirely dependent on how combat-oriented the player wanted the character, a suggestion would be to drop the Channeling (Spirit) entirely and upgrade the Ritual (Crafting) to Thaumaturgy, to allow for the summoning, binding, and banishing of demons and spirits from the Nevernever, as well as allowing for Crafting and Wards.  Imagine just how safe a church or catherdral would be from intrusion by entities from the Nevernever with a church threshold, strengthened by Bless this House and the sort of Ward this player could potentially create.

The other point leftover could allow the character to add The Sight and/or Soulgaze as well.
