We also learned that neurovore is capable of wordcounts of nigh-Chekovian proportions,

Hmmph.

For much of 1844, Alexandre Dumas was writing twelve hours a day. During which time he had, at peak, five different serial novels appearing in newspapers of which he was handing in chapters.

It would appear to have caused a breakdown of sorts, and incidentally led to the Marie Antoinette cycle not getting a proper conclusion.  But compared to that, I'm a piker.

We've done 2 in a row and we're planning on one next Sunday.

I will likely not be around for that, but almost certainly the following Sunday.

We might have to arrange another time other than next Sunday. Seeing as it's Independence Day, any thoughts on that?

We could bump it to Monday.  Not everyone has off though, and I kinda hate to interrupt the flow.  I know the fireworks here don't start until nearer to dark, and the barbeques and stuff are all earlier in the afternoon.  If there are a lot of conflicts with the 4pm time, we can move it to Monday or Saturday, but if it looks like most people can make 4 on Sunday, we might just keep it.

Thoughts? Input?

I have Monday off, and as far as I know, I won't be doing much of anything else on Sunday.  And if anything does get planned for Sunday, the chat would give me an excuse to leave early.  That would be nice.

And I've just gotten used to having to interpret my writing, but I still have moments where I have to skip a word and figure out something else to put in its place because I have absolutely no clue what it was supposed to be.  I used to have to decipher my grandmother's writing, and mine's starting to look like hers.  I think that's why I can do it.

I dunno if I can be on Sunday or not, but I do have Monday off with no plans...as of yet.  No one has told me what time we're BBQing on Sunday.

We could have it this coming Thursday, which is Canada Day. Surely everybody has Canada Day off.

Or you could skip a week?

Heathen!! >.<

I'd rather not skip, just 'cause it's nice to get into a rhythm.  Plus the more regular we are with these, the more chance other people will stop in and ramble too.

I mean, there's nothing stopping people from being in there and chatting any other time of the day or week, of course!  I just think it's nice to have a steady, regular time when you *know* people will be there, ready and willing to share your trials and tribulations.

I agree with Kali, if we skip one it would be too easy to skip another and then eventually the idea will just be that.

I'm all for Monday afternoon at the same time as people have mentioned.

If consistency is such a big thing, then just leave the date as-is.

Because if most people can't make it due to the holiday, then it would be worth the skip.  Hence the question. Hence the discussion.

Just made a poll on a separate thread to discuss this issue.

Given the poll results, and since I think most people have had time to weigh in, it looks like Monday is going to be the best day for people.  So I'll be in the chat room on Monday the 5th at 4pm Eastern, ready to chat about everything writerly!  I'm looking for some good web sites, so if anyone has some bring 'em along.
