[GB] Stat Out a Proton Pack
« on: May 12, 2010, 12:11:27 AM »
Ignore Hexing issues: assume that the Ghostbusters' proton packs and traps are magic items, not technology. (They're enchanted/focus/Items of Power, whatever, ok? -- immune to hexery.)

How would they work under DFRPG rules?

If anyone wants to additionally contribute stats for the Ghostbusters and associates, I will not complain. ;)

They are effectively Enchanted Items that put blocks on Athletics (or possibly on taking actions at all) to move.  Since location within a zone is mostly moot, the dragging function of the proton packs doesn't need to be statted.

Or it could be an Item of Power that is similar to the Conviction Stunts: Devout Words and Person of Conviction.  Basically you use your exchange to stop the target from using its exchange.

If you have to ask, it probably breaks a Law of Magic.  You're just trying to get the Doom of Damocles.

An item that allows manipulation of the Spirit element (as long as you don't cross the streams that is) including blocks, etc.  As far as uses per scene you'd have to decide on a nice number depending on how much of a role you want the device to play (more for a central role or multiple ghosts per scene).
