I am not into playing the game, but I want all the back story is there away to get the story with out all the stats and stuff for playing the game?

Have you read the novels, or Jim Butcher's other short stories in the setting?
Other than that, no, the story and such are wrapped up in the sourcebooks which include all the stats and rules.

Volume 2 (Our World) contains a TON of cool reference material for all kinds of people/places/things from the novels. It does have stats and such, but still pretty good. And it contains a short story. Huzzah!

Yeah, the closest you'll get is by buying Our World, which will have stats and such but will also double as a great fan guide for the first ten books (plus it has that story by Jim).
