Characters help thread
« on: April 26, 2010, 10:56:24 AM »
Okay, I made this thread for all people struggling to make their characters...Which includes me.

I'm trying to make a ghostbuster-like character.  How would I do this?

And Someone else I know is trying to make buffy, but isn't quite succeeding.

What Refresh level for both? It's important. I'd build a very different Buffy at Submerged than at Feet Wet.

Also, what do you mean by 'ghostbuser like'? Direct movie take-off proton packs and all, or just someone who hunts ghosts, or what?

As above, refresh level is very important, but with the assumption of submerged, Buffy, at least, is rather easy.

Skills as opinion dictates (but with Lore, Fists, Athletics, Weapons at least at Good, IMO). Powers would include Inhuman Strength, Inhuman Toughness, Inhuman Recovery (at -2 each, IIRC). That's a -6, with 3 stunts of any choice.

Yeah. She might or might not have Inhuman Toughness as well (up to the player really), and I might put her Lore a bit lower, but the principles of that design are sound.
