Yeah, but not necessarily in a convention center full of people.  Plus the costume is something like 3 layers, 4 including the cloak, and I get hot too easily.

The lower outside temps will help; the inside will start from a lower baseline, at least.

Last NYCC, I was dressed as Maeve, which is already pretty skimpy.  I had to take my wig off, because I was overheating.  Really heavy costumes, not such a good idea for the con floor.

Looks like I'll have to do that stiff upper lip, mad dogs and englishmen type thing.  Ah well.  If that's the worst thing I have to deal with this year, it'll be a good year.

I haven't received my tickets in the mail yet.  Should I be calling someone?

Think I'm keeping my hat and cloak off except for pics.

When I dress as Trelawney, I only have my glasses on for pics.  Otherwise, I'd go blind!

Well, I wouldn't go blind with hat and cloak, but I'd certainly pull a Wicked Witch and melt.

I think I'll be safe either way.  Scrubs/T-shirt/Lab coat(?)/Hiking boots.  Done, done, and done.  No one man polka contraptions, though, sorry.

I'll attempt it.  My hair is notorious for hating super-stick gels and sprays.  It's also why I'm waiting to get the hair cut until a week before, so that it doesn't grow back before the con.

Elmers Glue.  Always works.  Always washes out.

Tried that too.  Failure.  The only thing that has held my hair in place for any length of time was silly putty, and I'm NOT repeating that experience.

Dude, I have hair that has its own brain and a contrary personality, but when I was in theater, Aqua Net was my savior. That crap is liquid cement.

Con tickets ordered.
Amtrak tickets ordered.
Shecktus Tor will fall before our wrath!

Raaaarrrrgh, and other such manful vocalizations of martial manfulness.  Except Elise, who doesn't vocalize manfully, and is just sitting there rolling her eyes at me.

Oh well.
