If I understand correctly, it's actually in conjunction with NYCC. Which is like the Super Bowl advertising that there's free beer and hot nearly-naked chicks dancing for free next door during the game.

Yeah, but don't most of the panels and all end before 7:30?  That's when the concert/movie starts.  And like I said, not everyone goes to the evening events/contests/parties/whatever.   My b/f's suggestion is to go to the concert on Friday night, although I'd be wary until I could see what kinda panels and stuff are going on.

Do we know what day Jim will be at ComicCon?

I am going to the LOTR show. I went last year and it was great, I highly recommend it. They had like a 100 person choir besides the orchestra and it was amazing how they stayed with the movie the entire time. Howard Shore, Elijah Wood, and Billy Boyd were there as well.

Jim will be in attendance all three days, as far as I'm aware.  The actual schedule of events (detailing when Jim will be speaking publicly) won't be posted for months, however.

How's the Hotel Pennsylvania? Found a decent package on hotwire.

It's four NYC-long blocks to the Javits Center. Not a problem if you don't mind walking a little and the weather's nice.

Got my hotel Rez!  Now?  Should I pre-reg for the Con or buy tickets at the door?  HALP!  HALP!  Haven't been to a Con since the Star Trek Convention at the Americana in 1972!!

Pre reg. There is a good chance the con will be sold out if you try to buy at the door.
