Day two and I'm still ahead of the goal...
I think the best thing that's keeping me going is that I keep telling myself it doesn't have to be good and nobody's going to read it anyway! LOL
Oh hellz yeah.
My first pages are especially painful. I blather, I ramble, I bumble around the beginning of my story and bounce off the walls a few times before I finally manage to get going. Normally, I'd still be re-re-re-writing the beginning. This time, I just left it back there and kept going. It was a revelation to me! I didn't know you could do that. I thought, y'know, horrible things would happen.
Of course, I also usually send it out to people to read and this time I'm laughing out loud when people ask if they can read it. "No," I say. "I like you, therefore you cannot read it."
It's freeing.
